The chief magistrate’s court in Kasese has remanded 84 suspects who on November 1st attacked military installations to Mubukaa Government Prisons until December and 23rd, 2025.
The 84 are charged with treason, terrorism, murder, attempted murder, terrorism financing, and aggravated robbery.
The suspects are implicated in a series of violent attacks on security installations across Kasese, Bundibugyo, and Kabarole districts on 1 November 2025.
Court presided over by his worship George Mfitundinda George heard that the suspects who have been operating within the districts of Kasese, Bundibugyo, Bunyangabu, Ntoroko, Kagadi, and Kitagwenda from 2024 up to November 1, 2025 attacked military installations in the districts of Kasese, Bundibugyo District.
They also attempted to attack Canon Apollo PTC in Fortportal Tourism City on November 1st, 2025.
His worship Mfitundinda ruled that his court does not have the jurisdiction to try such offences and called on the state to speed up its investigations.
