The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni, has urged NRM leaders to step up mobilisation efforts in their respective electoral areas ahead of next week’s presidential and parliamentary elections.
Museveni made the remarks on Saturday while interacting with NRM flag bearers at Iganga Senior Secondary School in Iganga District.
Museveni opened the meeting by reminding flag bearers of the NRM’s achievements in health, education, and infrastructure over the past 40 years.
He described these accomplishments as the foundation for the current election campaign and encouraged flag bearers to fully appreciate the NRM’s contributions to the country’s progress.
He urged party leaders to sensitise the public about these achievements in the remaining days before the elections, stressing that highlighting tangible results is crucial for voters to choose a reliable government.
Museveni also appealed for high voter turnout for NRM candidates, emphasizing the importance of collective party support throughout polling days.
