BEB Wine, a product of Zeoo Wines Factory Limited in Lira City, has been named the 2026 People’s Choice Award winner in the alcoholic fermented beverages category, marking another recognition for the brand after similar victories since 2024.
The award was announced by Zeoo Wines Factory General Manager Jimmy Alex Okello during a press conference held on Friday at A to Z Hotel in Lira City.
According to Okello, the recognition is significant because it is based on consumer perceptions, opinions and expectations gathered through an annual statistical market survey conducted by 10 GS Heights Limited
He said the continued recognition of BEB Wine reflects the confidence consumers have placed in the brand and its ability to maintain its position in Uganda’s alcoholic beverage market.
Okello said the company considers the award more than just a trophy, describing it as an indication that customers continue to choose and identify with BEB Wine amid competition in the market.
The General Manager confirmed that BEB Wine has been a People’s Choice Award winner from 2024 to date, giving the company confidence to further expand its production and market reach.
Zeoo Wines also confirms that BEB brand has also expanded its availability beyond Lira, with the company currently operating more than ten branches across the country According, including Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
The management said its product range includes BEB alcoholic fermented beverages, BEB mixed fruit wine and BEB Bigmen, which the company is producing using locally sourced ingredients including fruits and other plant-based materials.
Okello has credited the company’s production, sales and management teams, together with its customers and other stakeholders, for contributing to the brand’s growth saying the latest award should motivate the company to maintain its standards and strengthen its relationship with consumers.
For Zeoo Wines, the 2026 recognition therefore comes as a measure of consumer preference, while reinforcing BEB Wine’s growing presence in Uganda’s fermented beverage market.
