Mega Fm: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has met and held fruitful discussions with Nigerian investor Dr. Abbas A. Waziri, Group Chairman of Resident Group PLC on investment opportunities in Uganda.
During the meeting held at State House Entebbe on Tuesday Dr. Waziri expressed interest in investing in Uganda, particularly in the establishment of a cement manufacturing plant and exploring opportunities in the country’s minerals sector.
The discussions also highlighted Uganda’s rich Ankole cattle heritage, with the two sides exploring opportunities to export Ankole cattle and Ugandan dairy products to the Nigerian market.
The meeting is part of efforts to promote investment and expand economic partnerships between Uganda and other African countries, while creating new markets for Ugandan products.
