The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has scheduled Thursday, September 18, 2025, for the elections of the National Executives of the Youth and Entrepreneurs Leagues, as well as flag bearers for Members of Parliament representing youth.
The decision was made during the 5th CEC meeting, chaired by President Yoweri Museveni, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at State House Entebbe.
CEC directed that the elections be decentralized, taking place across all 151 NRM districts.
Delegates will convene at district headquarters on September 18, 2025, starting at 9 a.m., to vote by lining up,” said Secretary General Richard Todwong.
The NRM Electoral Commission and the Directorate of Legal Services will issue guidelines to ensure the elections adhere to CEC directives and the Elections Tribunal’s regulations.
Eligible delegates include NRM Members of Parliament representing youth, members of the NRM District Executive Committees, five representatives per district from the Youth and Entrepreneurs Leagues, five members per municipality/city division from the Youth League, sitting NRM Youth Councilors at municipal and district levels, NRM Sub-County Youth League Chairpersons, and 10 members each from the National Executive Committees of the Youth and Entrepreneurs’ Leagues.
