Kawowo Sports: Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Put on Tuesday named a 26-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Botswana and Algeria.
Uganda will face Botswana on Thursday, 9th October in Francistown before taking on Algeria on Tuesday, 14th October at Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium.
Uganda is still in contention for a slot at next year’s World Cup but must ensure they get as many points as they can from this window.
Algeria who top Group G with 19 points, four ahead of Uganda need just a win in their last two group games, both coming at home against Somalia and the Cranes.
However, there is a window for the top four ranked teams that will finish in second positions across all the nine groups.
