Lango based football club, Blacks Power have confirmed the appointment of CAF A, Simon Peter Ssalongo Mugerwa as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League, UPL season.
Mugerwa takes charge of the Black Power following their successful promotion from the FUFA Big League and will work alongside Michael Lukyamuzi, and the existing technical team.
His appointment comes as Blacks Power prepare for their return to Uganda’s top flight, with the club hoping to build on last season’s promotion success and establish themselves in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Martin Owani has been appointed as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Owani holds, Football Administration and Management Course, FAMACO I and II certificates and is expected to strengthen the club’s administration as Blacks Power prepares for the challenges of top-flight football.
The two appointments mark a new chapter for Blacks Power as they target a strong return to the Uganda Premier League.
