Blue Zone were on Monday crowned the champions of the 2025 Child Care Uganda (CCU) Mental Health Soccer Tournament, a community-based sports event that uses football to raise awareness about mental health among the youth after edging CCU team 2-0 in the finals played from the 4th division playgrounds.
Blue Zone walked home with UGX 1M in cash, a trophy and a set of Jersey while second place CCU team received UGX 500,000 shillings and a set of jersey.
Third place was taken by Kumalo Sports Club after beating Gulu City Council 5-4 on penalties after normal time ended 1-1. Kumalo walked away with 300,000 in cash while fourth place, Gulu City Council was received a set of training bibs.
A total of 16 football teams took part in the CCU tournament.
