At least four casual laborers have been injured after a water pipe burst at Bukona Agro Processors Ltd in Koch Goma sub-county, Nwoya district.
The incident happened at around 2am on Monday and the injured, who include Jenifer Adoch (39), Florence Amony (31), Eric Odong (28) and one unidentified lady who escaped with minor injury, were on night shift. The three have been admitted to Anaka General Hospital.
According to reports, the victims sustained injuries while attempting to flee after the pipe burst splashing hot water in different directions.
This is the second factory hazard at Bukona Agro Processors Ltd after an incident on March 20, 2023 where a casual labourer identified as Jonathan Otim was crushed to death after he accidentally slid into a wood crushing machine.
