The Federation of Uganda Football Associations, FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has banned five individuals from all football-related activities after finding them guilty of match manipulation.
In a statement released on June 1st, FUFA states that the sanctions relate to the Uganda Premier League, UPL match between Lugazi FC and Buhimba United Saints FC played on November, 8th 2025.
The Committee found violations of Articles 43 and 44 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.
The banned individuals are all players of Buhimba United Saints FC and they include Fred Nkata, Moses Ayebale, Ramadhan Dudu and the club’s technical director James Kalumba all banned for five years.
Former Buhimba United Saints FC player Ali Feni has received a lifetime ban after being found to have coordinated match fixing in several matches, including the Lugazi versus Buhimba United Saints game, by acting as an intermediary between players and match fixers.
FUFA says the sanctions took effect immediately upon notification, and the affected parties have the right to appeal.
The Federation is running an Anti Match Fixing campaign urging football stakeholders to Recognise, Reject, and Report any attempts to manipulate games.
