The Federation of Uganda Football Associations, FUFA, has temporarily postponed the 2026 FUFA TV Cup and Odilo School Football competitions until further notice.
FUFA Corporate Affairs Director Ahmed Hussein in a statement said the decision follows guidance from the Ministry of Education and Sports aimed at harmonising the operational framework for school sports activities across the country.
Hussein said FUFA remains committed to the growth of youth football and will announce new dates for the competitions once consultations with the Ministry are concluded.
The postponement affects schools, players, coaches and other stakeholders who had been preparing for the two competitions.
FUFA has asked schools, partners and football fans to remain patient and understanding as engagements with the Ministry continue.
The FUFA TV Cup and Odilo School Football competitions are key platforms for identifying and developing young football talent across Uganda.
