FUFA has linked the death of football in Acholi sub-region to the over two decades’ long LRA- led insurgency in Northern Uganda.
According to Eng. Moses Magogo, the President of the national football governing body, the civil war negatively impacted the growth and development of football in the former war-torn sub-region.
Eng. Magogo told journalists in Gulu City on Saturday afternoon that the war brought football activities to halt.
Acholi sub-region was the epicenter of the over two decades’ long LRA led insurgency that left thousands dead and hundreds with life changing injuries.
