Gulu University was on Thursday crowned the champions of the 2nd edition of the Ultimate University Quiz Challenge after beating Lira University in the finals.
Organized by the Vision Group, the Ultimate University Quiz gives a platform for the brightest minds to showcase their depth of knowledge and quick thinking.
The quiz challenge encompass a wide range of topics, from history and current affairs to science, sports, and pop culture.
The champions went away with a trophy and UGX 25M worth of equipment while each participant (students) received UGX 1M, a laptop and a certificate.
Runners-up Lira University received UGX 15M and each participant (Students) scooped 500,000 shillings, a laptop and a certificate.
James Ojok Onono, the Gulu University Public Relations officer, confirmed the development adding the Gulu University team was well prepared for the challenge.
This is the fourth award Gulu University has scooped this year including the Inter-University Gender and Human Rights Law Moot competition in October and the public University of the year by the Uganda National Planning Authority.
