The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, has launched his 2026 campaign manifesto, unveiling 11 priority areas he says will transform Uganda if implemented.
The launch took place on Monday at St. Gonzaga Kagoma Primary School playgrounds in Jinja district, drawing hundreds of his supporters.
The 89-page manifesto opens with restoration of freedom, constitutionalism, and human rights as the first priority.
Kyagulanyi pledged to end the trial of civilians in military courts, free political prisoners, restore presidential term and age limits, reduce executive powers over the judiciary, and promote gender equality.
His second priority focuses on ending corruption and wasteful expenditure, pledging to downsize cabinet, state house staff, and parliament.
He said funds saved would be redirected to key sectors such as health and education.
On national unity and healing war-torn communities, which is his third priority, Kyagulanyi promised equal opportunities regardless of ethnic or political background, alongside compensation for communities ravaged by past conflicts.
