Tracy Achiro and Tolit Ivan of 102 Mega Fm, the most listened to Radio in northern Uganda, are among the winners at the Uganda National Journalism Awards 2025 organized by the African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME).
The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding journalistic contributions within the Ugandan media landscape.
Aciro took the top accolade for Tradition and Culture reporting category while Tolit was 1st runner up in sports reporting category.

Mega FM, according to research, played a significant role in peacebuilding and reconciliation efforts, particularly in the context of the LRA conflict.
The station also broadcasted peace messages and provided airtime for authorities to appeal for calm, helping to avert violence.
Mega FM is recognized as a community-focused radio station in Gulu, Northern Uganda.
