A joint security team in Adjumani district is hunting for a police officer for allegedly shooting to death a civilian in Apaa Trading centre, Itirikwa Sub County.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Moses Acaye, attached to Alebtong Central Police station while dressed in non-uniform allegedly rode to Apaa Trading center at around 1:00pm and went straight to his victim only identified as Okot.
Okot was reportedly seated with a friend when Acaye pulled out a pistol and shot him several times killing him before fleeing the scene on unidentified motorcycle.
Ignatius Dragudu, the Mid-North West Nile Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the report saying a joint security team was hunting for the suspect.
