By Norbert Mao

The Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees, Dr. Lillian Aber, who also serves as the Woman Member of Parliament for Kitgum District, has urged Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) candidates to approach their forthcoming examinations with confidence, focus, and determination.

Minister Aber made the remarks last week while officiating at the 2025 Kitgum Municipality PLE Candidates’ Seminar held at Christian Community Church, Lulojo, where she delivered a message of hope and encouragement to pupils, school directors, head teachers, teachers, and education stakeholders.

In her address, the Minister emphasized the importance of examination preparedness as a cornerstone of academic achievement, noting that the PLE serves as a critical foundation for learners’ future academic and professional paths.

Minister Aber said examinations are not meant to scare the learners but to shape the pupils stating that every successful person today once sat where they are seated, preparing to prove what they had learned.

She told the pupils to stay confident, study smart, and believe in themselves as the future of Kitgum and Uganda depends on young people like them.

The seminar brought together 24 primary schools comprising a total of 912 PLE candidates, 64 teachers, 24 head teachers, 12 school directors, UNEB examiners, and education officials.

The 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations are scheduled to take place from 3rd to 4th November 2025.
