Authorities in Agago district have raised concerns as a second person is shot dead by suspected Karamojong warriors in the district in less than three days.
The latest incident on Monday night in Akete village in Lapono sub county also left another person with severe gunshot wounds.
The deceased have been identified as Suzan Aryemo (20) and injured is Patrick Okidi (21). Aryemo died on the spot while Okidi survived with severe gunshot wounds.
Both were allegedly shot at around 11pm while returning from a night Club at Kaket trading center.
James Nabinson Kidega, the Agago Resident District Commissioner, confirmed the unfortunate incident saying efforts were being made to apprehend the attackers.
The latest incident comes just three days after the fatal shooting of John Bosco Ociti, 25, a resident of Mora East Kicok village, Paimol sub-county on Saturday.
The renewed attacks has reignited concerns about the safety of communities along the district’s border with Karamoja.
