The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, has said that corruption is the root cause of poor service delivery.
While presiding over the 3rd national health professionals’ education, training and healthcare conference in Jinja city on Thursday, Janet argued that unprecedented levels of corruption frustrate the minimal possibility of rolling down services to the targeted communities.
The conference was held under the theme of transformed health education and training for better healthcare outcomes and a productive population.
She argues that several projects thrive in the absence of corruption, however, the current state of graft continues to deny communities from fully reaping the resources meant to benefit them.
The Minister urged civil servants to prioritize service extension to humanity as a direct service to God, which will ignite the spirit of selflessness and empower them to meet the community demands with ease.
