Omoro Teacher Confesses To Killing Students

A key suspect in the gruesome murder of two girls from a school dormitory at Lux Primary and Secondary school in Labora Central village, Labora sub-county in Omoro district has confessed to the crime, according to the latest security report.

Emmanuel Okot, the Omoro Resident District Commissioner who also doubles as the District Chairperson Security Committee, told Mega Fm on Tuesday that the suspect confessed that he killed the two girls before setting their bodies on fire.

According to RDC Okot, the suspect is a teacher at the school.

Security personnel have temporarily closed the operation of the school.

The minors were reportedly murdered by the assailants who later set their bodies on fire between the night of April 17 and the wee morning of April 18.

The deceased have been identified as 16-year-old Gladys Gune, who was in Senior Two and 14-year-old Gloria Anzoa, a Primary Three (P.3) pupil.

According to report the deceased were the only female pupils at the boarding section who remained at the school for the Easter holiday break.

Five boys who were also accommodated at the boys’ boarding section had reportedly returned to their respective homes for the Easter holidays.

In total, seven learners were being accommodated in the boarding at the school.
