Mega Fm: Pearl Bank whose purpose is to Foster Prosperity for Ugandans scooped the most prestigious accolades at the 2026 Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Wednesday, taking home Gold Award for Integrated Report of the Year and the Financial Services Reporting for Banking Services Tier 1 category.
The Gold Award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting, which explains how Pearl Bank creates values for all its keys stakeholders, is the first Integrated Report recognition the institution has received under its new identity following the transition from PostBank Uganda to Pearl Bank forming part of its 5 year strategic agenda focused on strengthening service delivery and long-term value creation for Ugandans.
Organised by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) in partnership with the Capital Markets Authority and the Uganda Securities Exchange, the awards aim to recognise organisations demonstrating excellence in financial reporting, governance, sustainability disclosure, and the effective use of technology to meet international standards.
This year the FiRe Awards were held under the theme “Driving Sustainability Reporting through Technology and Innovation”.

Pearl Bank, Chief Financial Officer Peter Ssenyange welcomed the recognitions as affirmation of the bank’s reporting journey under its new brand.
“Winning both the Gold Award for Integrated Report of the Year and the Tier 1 Financial Services Award under the Pearl Bank identity is a profound milestone,” said Mr. Ssenyange.
Throughout its transition from PostBank to Pearl Bank, the institution has prioritised continuity for customers while refreshing its identity, digital platforms and sustainability agenda. The FiRe Awards recognition confirms that the quality of its corporate reporting has kept pace with this transformation.
In the previous FiRe awards, the bank has received several accolades including Winner Banking Services General in 2025, 1st runner up Banking Services General, Bronze for Integrated Reporting 2023 and 2024 and for the individual recognition, Pearl Bank’s CFO Peter Ssenyange won the CFO of the Year 2025.
