Uganda Premier League clubs are expected to improve accountability in gate collections following a UGX 204 million-shilling partnership involving Centenary Bank and digital ticketing firm GonzaPay.
The Uganda Premier League Board has signed an agreement naming Centenary Bank as the league’s official banking partner and GonzaPay as its official ticketing partner.
The agreement was signed by UPL Board Chairman Dr. Arinaitwe Rugyendo and Centenary Bank Managing Director Godfrey Byekwaso.
Under the arrangement, GonzaPay will manage official match ticketing through digital platforms, allowing fans to purchase tickets using their phones and potentially reducing congestion at stadium entrances.
Centenary Bank will provide banking services to support the partnership, leveraging its branch network and digital banking platforms to improve convenience for football fans and other stakeholders.
