Nwoya Pilgrim Succumbed To Epileptic Attack

Ronald Ojok, a pilgrim from Nwoya district, who died while on a trek to Namugongo Marty’s shrine, succumbed to an epileptic attack, according to a postmortem report.

Ojok, 31, who was buried on Wednesday in Koch Orum village, Koch Goma Town Council, died on May 27, 2024 at St Janan Luwum Secondary School, Bombo campus.

A postmortem report by Dr. Robert Lukande, a Medical Officer from Bombo Army Barracks and read by sister Jackline Auma, a medical personnel from little sisters of Mary immaculate indicated that Ojok died as a result of his epileptic condition when foam together with saliva that should have come out of his body, entered his spleen. Auma said that Ojok was beaten by heavy rain on his way to Namugongo triggering malaria later leading to an epileptic attack.
